Laurel Bruhl will be talking about navigating triggers and making choices based on wisdom and not folly or fear. 4.) When is registration and when is my payment do? Registration will open mid-June. Because there is limited space, in order to save your spot payment is do at time of registration. 5.) Is there financial assistance? Benington-Duty Memorial Scholarship is a needs-based, $41 scholarship awarded to six (6) women in need of financial assistance to attend Fireweed.

An adoptee, Mr. Benington has created this scholarship in honor of his late Birthmother, Mrs. Duty. His heartfelt blessing will bring the price down to $45 dollars to attend for six (6) women in need of financial assistance. 6.) Does Fireweed Retreat provide transportation? Each woman is responsible for getting to/from Beulah Beach. Once at Beulah Beach each birthmother will be given a $25 gift card to help offset the cost of travel. 7.) What will sleeping arrangments look like? Fireweed Retreat has 8 cottages fitting 2-3 women each. All will have a small kitchen (**coffee maker**) and a sitting area. During registration, we will ask you to fill out a questionnaire to help assign roommates that most reflect your season of life (e.g. currently parenting, grown parented children, as well as, open-adoption, closed-adoption, reunified, etc.). 8.) What do I need to bring to best enjoy my stay?

Comfy clothes, shoes (and bathing suit--weather permitting) are needed for outdoor activities. All workshop materials are provided (Bible, journal, pens, etc.). 9.) I have a food allergy, can I be accommodated? Beulah Beach can accommodate most food allergies. You will be asked to specify your food allergies/restrictions in the registration so we can inform Beulah Beach, as well as be inclusive in our snack provisions. 10.) This is a camp, will there be other groups on-site? There will be a wedding as well as a Christian college retreat at Beulah that weekend. The only small children around will be those who are attending the wedding. We are having Fireweed Retreat on the weekend of September 18-20 because we wanted to avoid having a camp filled with small children to respect that it may be difficult for some women. We also picked this date as it is the following weekend after Beauty For Ashes, the Adoptive/Foster Mom retreat. Fireweed Retreat attendees will be coming to camp having Sisters-in-triad (Adoptive Moms) praying over our stay the weekend before. 11.) Why a *Christ-centered* Retreat? I, Jennifer Mae, have been to birthmother outings that were trauma-focused (centered on the loss and heart-ache of adoption). I found that I went home from these events with a heavy heart and a triggered mind. I honor that this type of outing is what some women need to process and work through their grief and I am grateful that you have found your means to process and work towards healing. But for my journey, that was not what I needed to heal. I thought if I feel this way, there must be other women who want a retreat based on our worth and identity in Jesus as women and as birthmothers, not focused on the trauma, but centered on God's grace, provision and goodness even in the hard and heavy. There is so much power in speaking our stories, but this weekend is not focused on the loss and the heartache of trauma (though it does have its valuable place at Fireweed). This weekend is about seeing our unchanging worth in Jesus, learning our 'daughters of a King' identity and how to remember that when triggers occur. 12.) I want to donate to Fireweed Retreat, how can I do that?
